Why We’re Called The Lighthouse Church

The Lighthouse Church. Kingdom, Victory, and Purpose.

The inspiration behind the name The Lighthouse Church comes from one of Pastor Eddie’s favorite scriptures, Psalm 27:1 (NIV):
"The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?" Pastor Eddie believes that the Lord is the guiding light at the center of our daily lives. Just as a lighthouse provides direction, clarity, and safety to ships at sea, The Lighthouse Church is meant to be a beacon—a place where people can look to find biblical truth, hope, and the tools to live a victorious life. The nickname “TLC” was born during a conversation with Pastor Vincent Robinson of Right Way Church over lunch on the Gulf Coast. Pastor Vincent said, “The Lighthouse Church Gulf Coast is too long! Just call it TLC.” And from that moment, TLC—The Lighthouse Church—became our signature.

Our Light Has a Purpose

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 5:14–16 (NIV): “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden... let your light
shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

At TLC, we embrace this call by creating a life-giving community of people who:
 LOVE unconditionally, across all differences

  • Lead with INTEGRITY—spiritually, relationally, and financially

  • Use their INFLUENCE to lift others up and push people forward

  • Live with a VICTORY mindset, rooted in Christ

We exist to shine the light of truth and share the good news of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to equip people to live empowered lives by applying biblical principles, so they can shine bright in every area of life. Because we believe—everyone deserves
to see the light… and let their light shine.

Our Values

Building A Godly Community

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.."
